ओं पुरन्दराय नमःōṃ purandarāya namaḥ
He is Skanda, who hastens to the rescue, and the Upholder of the path of dharma; He bears the burden of the worlds, grants every boon, and sets the winds moving. He is Vāsudēva, the son of Vasudēva and the One in whom all dwell, a vast radiance, the first God and the source of the gods. He is Purandara, the breaker of the strongholds of His foes.
Bhāvam
His strength is shown first as bearing, the path of dharma, the burden of the worlds and the winds, and then as shining and breaking: the light, the first God, and the breaker of fortresses. Vāsudēva stands at the centre, the name that says He dwells in all and all in Him.
