The four names in the middle, instrument, cause, doer and maker of variety, give a plain account of how the world is made, and Śrī, who dwells in His heart, is named just before them. Mighty and awesome is He, the Year by which rite and harvest are measured, and skilful in every work. He is the resting-place of the weary and is gracious to the whole world.
Bhāvam
Three names of time stand in this śloka, the Season, Time and the Year, and around them are gentle ones: the One whose sight is a blessing, the resting-place of the weary, the One gracious to all. The Lord who turns the wheel of time turns it with kindness.
